Touka Flower - Lilac
From the Plèi collection and made entirely from upcycled leather offcuts, the “Touka” flower is fashioned in three different hues of a single color. Its clean lines were inspired by the bird of paradise. Two asymmetric flowers have curled inner petals. Hand-stitched ribbed leaves subtly conceal the point where their leather-covered stems meet. This flower can be displayed in a bud vase, with other leather flowers, or in a bouquet of dried flowers. The name “Touka” is a play on the word “toucan”, echoing the bird of paradise flower which served as the inspiration for this piece.
